You can tell him to refuse. You can ask them to help, but it is tough at that age if you can’t keep them home. Does his IEP address written versus online administration of STAAR? What accommodations does he get.

Kelly, A few points to think about. When the principal says he would be required to attend tutorials, he is not accurately conveying a statutory or regulatory requirement. I would make an open records requests for all standards and admissions procedures relating to magnet programs and then examine them for exceptions.
