Burn the unnecessary STARR testing, juvenile suicide has incread due to the stress and pressure the young people have. This world is hard enough to handle to live in it, so having more preasure from school, a place where our children should be at ease and relax has become an INFERNO to them, their most vulnerable years..lighten up please. Bring back hands on teaching and allow the kids to explore and learn. Please

I am in TOTAL AGREEMENT! I HAVE SEEN MY DAUGHTER SO STRESSED LATELY HERE IN NEW BRAUNFELS. SHES TAKING MANDATORY TUTORING ALREADY. I REALLY DONT THINK ITS FAIR TO TELL HER SHE HAS TO DO THIS OR SHE WONT BE ON HER GRADE LEVEL THEN causing her to FAIL BY PILING SO MUCH ON HER THAT SHE CANT GET FINISHED. IM REALLY SO SAD FOR THE KIDS! 😡😵😞

This test is ridiculous and it doesn’t make sense to stress these kids out. It’s way to much pressure. Some of this stuff the teachers don’t even know. It just be removed immediately. The district is so worried about this Staar Test and test scores instead of teaching them the old school way it’s much more difficult and more critical thinking. Half of this stuff is not even used in the real world. What happened to no child left behind? These test shouldn’t be held against these children. Half of the stuff that’s on the test isn’t even taught in the class. This test shouldn’t determine if they’re able to go to the next grade. If they’re passing their classes that’s all that should matter. I’m totally against this and it should be removed indefinitely.😡

My daughter failed math(daughter says teacher never even taught them, just complained all year) and reading last year at LewisMS AISD. And due to changes in the district she’ll be going to PlummerMS AISD. But school hasn’t said anything. And orientation is only for 6th&7th grade. She’s going to 8th.

My daughter needs to be opted out of taking the Staar test, but she’s in 8th grade. Hays CISD says she cannot move to high school if she fails it. If we opt out can they hold her back?
