You are correct that with the elimination of the SAT Subject tests, the only US History sub assessment is AP. You can take the AP exam without taking the test. Got a call from Daughter's School yesterday about her not passing Algebra STAAR.

They told me she would need to attend school to retake the STAAR to meet graduation requirements. She is a Freshman and passed the Biology and English STAAR, but didn't pass the Albgebra. No, there should be no need for a letter. Just an email with proof of scores should be sufficient. Ask them to confirm they have marked that he has met graduation requirements for English II
