Fall HB 4545 Opt Out Notice
This letter opts your child out of HB 4545 accelerated instruction for the upcoming school year. It should be delivered to the school before the staff reports back for the fall (although there is no deadline). I recommend you wait until all summer instruction has ended, so their full attention is on the fall.

How many letters are there suppose to be sent to the school. My child will be a sophomore, we her opting her out of the rest of her EOC test and declining the accelerated Instruction.

I’m for this site, U worked in a school system for 28 years as a paraprofessional and looking to help my grandchildren and their parents to opt them out of the STAAR testing/ EOC. I don’t believe in this test at all never have and never will. It doesn’t show what a child can really do.

I am currently working on this letter for my son. Looking at the FAQ page, it appears #19 is now #18. I have searched for the April 2022 version of the FAQ and am unable to find it. Should I edit the question number or is there a link to the April version I can include for reference if there is push back?

I have a question about wording. The following line, is the word “not” the correct word? Does it need to change to say “under NO statutory”…….
